When designing the packaging for Broadway cast albums, I’m typically sent the show’s logo (key art), a folder of production photos + a boat load of text. Then I’m given carte blanche to create an imaginative & organized souvenir package inspired by what I see and hear. Michael R. Jackson’s A Strange Loop won 2022’s Tony Award for Best Musical, and it was a pleasure taking a cue from Asaf Shakham’s vibrant colors & quirky title text..

Obviously physical soundtracks area less popular due to streaming platforms, but I like to think of them as collector’s items for fans; especially for folks who don’t get the chance to see the actual show. I coveted Broadway cast albums as a theater kid, and it is still surreal to see my name printed in them.
