Cabaret

The team working on SDSU’s production of Kander & Ebb’s Cabaret was visually inspired by 1920s Berlin paintings… so I decided to “paint” this poster using a stylus pen in Procreate. The “A” in the center of “Cabaret” (negative space between Sally’s thighs) was actually mistaken by one team member as a pile of cocaine… in a good way. I had to admit that it wasn’t intentional, but I love a happy accident.

Once casting and costumes had been set, the team commissioned me to create a second poster to more closely depict their lead actress in one of her actual costumes. Both are pictured here.
